Auto On/Off: sensor button automatically controlling the beginning and end to the paper shredding process
Auto Reverse: the paper will automatically reverse in case document jamming occurs
Bin: the final shredded paper ends up in the bin
Capacity: refers to the number of sheets a paper shredder can handle at one time
Casters: wheels attached to mobile shredders
Duty Cycle: the amount of times a shredder can be used, before it must be cooled off
Feed Width: size of the opening where paper is inserted into the document shredder
Footprint: marks the location of the shredder
High Security: designed for eliminating high profile, often top-secret data
Horizontal Feed: paper is fed though the front of the machine
Overload Protection: sensor that turns the entire system off in case of paper-jamming
Shred Size: the size of the shredded document
Shredder Speed: the amount of paper a document shredder can destroy within a given minute or hour.
Strip Cut: a form of document shredding where papers are reduced to thin, unreadable strips
Vertical Feed: a type of shredder that requires paper to be inserted from the top of the machine
Waste Capacity: the volume of paper a waste bag can hold
