If you do choose to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself, just remember that packing by yourself might be a lot tougher than you think and could result in additional insurance costs as many shippers do not provide coverage unless they were responsible for the contents of your shipment from start to finish.

As long as you take the time to carefully investigate the company you hire and spend the time working through your move with them to the very last detail, then you do not have to worry about anything. Lastly, always call a week before and also the day before your move to make sure that your move has not fallen through the cracks.
