Banner: A typically rectangular advertisement usually situated in the upper part of the website.
Browser: Software application used to locate and display web pages.
Domain Name: A unique name that identifies one or more IP addresses; each and every website is stored under a domain name.
Home Page: First page of a website.
Hosting: A place where website is stored and made available to website users to view content.
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language): Authoring and editing language used to create web pages on the World Wide Web.
Internet: Largest global network connecting millions of people.
URL: The web address of the page.
Link: An object on the web page that takes users to the site the link is pointed to if they click on it.
Web Page: One of the pages on the website.
Web Site: A site presence on the World Wide Web.
World Wide Web: A system of Internet servers that support specially formatted documents.
